A was established in 2013 as a sugarcane grower and miller owned company and the declared Industry Services Body for the Australian sugarcane industry. At its formation, SRA was created as part of an amalgamation of the former entities, the Sugar Research and Development Corporation (SRDC) and BSES (formerly the Bureau of Sugar Experiment Stations). Almost eight years on from its inception, SRA is a vital component of the overall sugar industry supply chain, working in close partnership with growers, millers and service providers to deliver meaningful impact on the ground.
A is Australia’s specialist sugarcane research organisation. We invest in evidence-based research, development and adoption (RD&A) activities on behalf of sugarcane growers and millers to meet industry challenges and opportunities.en
