MetadataShow full item record
In 2004, the SRDC funded ‘Cultural Imprint’ project, a collaborative joint venture between CSR Sugar, CANEGROWERS Herbert River, the Australian Mechanical Cane Harvesters Association and BSES Ltd. The objectives of the project were to:1. Generate a cultural imprint (otherwise known as a collection of stories that describe the way a community works or doesn't work together) which targets a new level of understanding, that offers the opportunity to break the deadlocks encountered as a result of our pasts, and unlock a new future for our region and our industry.2. Generate a series of practical facilitation tools for the region (and industry) to use that improve the likelihood of issue resolution and improve the effectiveness of how the total system works together.3. Build capacity in the stakeholders to use a set of facilitation tools to improve the ability of the stakeholders to resolve industry issues and deepen their understanding of each others perspectives. There are three broad sources of information that inform this final evaluation. They are formative material - anecdotal evidence collected during the course of the project (1), and summative material gathered during independently conducted interviews (2) and focus groups (3).
